Description

I AM RE-LISTING THIS ITEM DUE TO NON-COMMUNICATION FROM LAST BUYER.  if you win this auction, please email me within 3 days!

PLEASE READ BELOW AND EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE.  THANKS.

This is an authentic stereo version of the Vee-Jay VJ 1062 "Introducing the Beatles" vinyl record.  The stereo version of this record is an extremely RARE Beatles collectible album.  The cover and record are both in good condition.  The cover is coming apart a bit at the top, and the record has normal wear-and-tear scratching, but it does not affect playback. It  does not come with its original dust sleeve (though there is a dust sleeve.)  Please see photos of the item.

The cover is valued at $500 and the record at $500, according to many Beatles sites, including http://www.rarebeatles.com/photospg/introvj.htm and passes all tests of authenticity listed on http://www.eskimo.com/~bpentium/beatles/intro/intro.html  and http://www.beatletracks.com/barchive/vjlp1062.html, and "The Beatles Price and Reference Guide For American Records" by Perry Cox and Michael Miller.

Passes all tests of authenticity listed below:

  • Cover-front and back-has a glossy slick.
  • George Harrison's shadow is visible to his right of where he stands.
  • Printing on cover is of high quality and professional looking.
  • Back cover lists contents in two columns (a MUST for a Stereo copy)
  • Labels on record have "THE BEATLES" and the title "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" above the center hole of record.
  • Black label on record has bright, sharp silver print.
  • The vinyl trail-off -the gap between the end of the last track and the edge of the label measures from 7/8" to 1" wide.
  • The vinyl trail-off area has the following mechanical Stampings:
    1. 1. The letters "MR" inside of a circle.
    2. 2. "63-3403 - STEREO"
  • The word "STEREO" is printed on label. (There has never been a counterfeit with the word "STEREO" printed on the label of any Introducing the Beatles) Any copy with "STEREO" printed on the label is more than likely an original.
  • The black labels on record are printed on a flat (not glossy) paper stock - another sign of an authentic stereo album.  (Black labels that are printed on glossy stock are fakes.)
