Description
I am the original owner of this Album. I spent the better of 2 days researching this version and based on my findings, this is an Authentic version. I am going to list the various items that lead me to my conclusion. I suggest that before you bid, you do your research as well and if you have any questions regarding the Album you can ask questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
OVERVIEW OF ALBUM:
Front Cover:
Clean/Crisp/Professional Print Job. There's NO CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) printers mark on the cover which is indicative of a forgery
Vee Jay Logo in black with register mark (R)
Lower Right Corner LP1062
George Harrison Shadow very apparent and bleeds off the right edge of Album Cover
The Cover itself is in good condition 1 minor rip about 2 inches down from the top left and the corners have minor wear in the paper. No stains.
Back Cover:
White with 2 Columns
VJ VEE-JAY Records Centered at top
Upper Right hand corner VJLP 1062
Ask Me Why and Please, Please Me
Bottom reads: America's Greatest Recording Artists Are on Vee-Jay Records
Record Sleeve:
Plain White (yellowed with age)
Album:
Side One:
Black Matte Label with Silver Printing
VJ Vee-Jay Records is centered above "Introducing the Beatles The Beatles" and this is above the hole.
Left of hole VJLP 1062 and under that is 63-3402
7/8" measurement from last track to label
Etched 63-3402
Side Two:
Same Notable/Authenticating Markings as Side One BUT has 1 difference...
There are 3 Etched Markings:
1. 63-3403
2. The Letter "M" with a Circle Around it
3. And Additional Etched Marking - There is a "Triangle" followed by the numbers 6307X
The overall condition is really good. Album Cover intact and free of stains or markings just with a little wear and 1 little tear. The Album itself has very few minor scratches.
Again, if you have any questions or need me to look for something that I didn't mention in this description, please do not hesitate to post questions.
The rip on the cover is just a little 3/16" nick that is located about 2" below the top left corner of album cover. The Front cover has no bends or "creases" However there are 2 very slight "horizontal hairlines" that you can only see when you tilt the album cover in the light nothing significant. The spine is good, no significant wear, with a minute cracking of gloss in the very upper corner. The Back Cover is clean and free of tears & rips.
