Description
An original 1st press of THE DEBUT from spring 1980. Matrix A1/B1. Ok so bear in mind there is a straight forward way to spot the 1st copies. The statement at the foot of the label should be across Two lines NOT three ... in addition 1st copies can also be found with an EMI inner dated 0480..the time of release. So 100% genuine 100% complete. No price stickering on the cover, thankfully, which i think ruins the aesthetic.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) A great looking copy and has only seen relatively light use. A couple of very light marks per side - nothing heavy or significant. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Iron Maiden are banging it out at max volume and this copy is basically straight from the original master. If you want a time piece most faithful copy....then this would be it. A few crackles in one isolated spot as TOMORROW starts up....but hardly anything to be frank. Even the paired down STRANGE WORLD plays with superb clean feed. Overall - a highly accomplished 1st original. Superb.
Cover (Vg+) Front and rear are tidy - great surfaces. Slight edge wear in a couple of spots but nothing significant. Spine is 90% legible with a bit of wear. Cover still retains every good rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Aged. No splits.
