Description

Iron Maiden - Fear Of The Dark Live - 7" shaped picture disc single - Mispress
This is the mispressed version determined by the limited edition number and etching on side B runout.

Purchased at a UK record fair in the 1990s, I have never played it but cannot guarantee that it has never been played. Stored carefully in smoke free home since purchase, please also look at the pictures as they form part of the description.

Label:

EMI – EMPD 263

Format:

Vinyl, 7", 45 RPM, Shape, Single, Limited Edition, Numbered, Picture Disc

Country:

UK

Released:

1993

Genre:

Rock

Style:

Heavy Metal
Limited numbered edition of unknown quantity. Non-mispressed version, only very few (with high numbers) have the correct "EMPD 263" matrix and actually play "Hooks In You".
All mispressed records have "EMP 263" in the run-out groove of the B-side.
At least up to # 15111 all copies are mispressed and have the limitation number stamped onto a white sticker in the limitation field. Later copies where the pressing error was corrected had the limitation number directly printed into the limitation field (THIS - at least from # 16079 upwards).

The shaped picture disc has a clear rim. The playing surface is that of a 7" single although the disc extends up to around 11.5" in total.
Issued in a PVC sleeve with a lip.
There is a 12" square backing card insert, printed on both sides. The individual numbering is machine stamped directly onto a white box at the front. The reverse shows UK tour dates for May 1993.

A: recorded at The Ishallen, Helsinki, June 5th, 1992
B: recorded at Wembley Arena, London, December 17th, 1990

Runouts are etched excepting "TY2" which is stamped.
These records are predominantly from my Dad's collection which needs to be sold (although I'll be moving a few of mine on too.) I am not particularly familiar with the vinyl record market so I don't have a 'buy it now' price. I've tried to start these listings at what I think is a competitive price, and will let the market decide what they're worth at auction. Please take a look at our other records - plenty will be going up over the coming weeks.
I have chosen to use Ebay's 'Simple Delivery' for postage as I don't have the capacity to get mailing quotes for each item / location, plus their rates appear to be reasonable. Ebay will combine postage for multiple purchases but I can't retrospectively add other previously unpurchased records to the bundle as the parcel may then exceed the weight & size of the label provided.
Hope this helps, happy to field any questions not answered above. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding!
