Vinyl Surfaces: EX

Audio Test - EX Small to moderate very light, small hairlines only. The kind from careful handling and cleaning. 

• Listened to in full on Audio Technica deck through  Studio montitors 
• Side 1: EX. Very light background noise on intros and on very quiet parts. No loss of quality      
• Side 2: EX- Very light background noise on intros and on very quiet parts. No loss of quality. TINY short skip on intro to 'Childhoods End' (Barely noticeable)  
• Side 3: EX. Very light background noise on intros and on very quiet parts. No loss of quality 
• Side 4: EX. Very light background noise on intros and on very quiet parts. No loss of quality               

Visual Inspection/Bright Light: EX-

• Graded under the same VERY bright spotlights used to take the pictures of the record
• Small number of light hairlines and a few larger marks that don't affect play. 
• A few noticeable 'round' marks but again these don't affect play
• No deep scratches. 

Visual Inspection - Bright Daylight: NM

Vinyl Labels - EX+

• Both labels excellent 

• No mould, scratches or marks. 

• Colours and printed text all perfect 

• Tiny amount of wear on spindle holes 

Outer Sleeve - EX+

• Nice sheen all round, no colour fading, no creases and only a few very light indentation marks that have not resulted in loss of colour or the sheen/coating being damaged.  

• TINY (I mean millimetres) bit of wear on corners 

• TINY (again, I mean millimetres) bit of wear on spine, all writing is perfectly visible and hardly any 'gatefold-crease'

• One small area of wear on bottom front edge

Inner Gatefold  EX-

• No colour fading, no creases or marks.  

• All lyrics perfectly visible and no colour fading

• Inner spine excellent with only a TINY bit of creasing if you get the magnifying glass out...!  

• The areas where the sleeve is opened to remove/replace the record have been re-enforced with a subtle tape-repair to prevent the small area of wear getting any worse.  

• Has obviously been kept in plastic sleeve, away from light or damp, since purchase back in 1992 

Original White DRG Made In England Inner Sleeves - VG

• Great condition but a couple of creases and splits on one inner. 

Original Vinyl Fan Club Merchandise Sheet - EX+

• A few TINY creases, but complete, in outstanding condition and very rare. 
• NM apart from a storage crease (please see pic). Form is complete and has not been used. 
• This is the un-folded version issued with the vinyl originally and not a folded one added from the CD as you sometimes find. 

Vinyl Care/Preparation

• I hand-clean every vinyl listed using L'Arc Du Son cleaning solution. This removes old grease, dust etc. to improve the playback quality. This does sometimes leave residue marks, but these don't affect play. 

• Once cleaned, I 'buff' the Vinyl using a very soft cleaning-cloth, then place it into an anti-static black sleeve. This sleeve is supplied with the Vinyl you buy. 

•  I also carefully clean and dry the Vinyl outer sleeves to remove old finger marks, dirt and dust. Once done the sleeves are placed into a PVC sleeve to keep them nice and clean, they are shipped with the plastic sleeve. 

•  Vinyls are then listened to end-to-end before grading, in order to make sure they don't skip etc. BEWARE VISUAL-ONLY GRADINGS...some Vinyls that look Near Mint to the eye have skips, others that look marked play near-perfectly. I've learned that you can't grade a Vinyl without listening to it :) 

•  Finally, I take lots of pics and rip the Vinyl to digital - free download provided for digital collection if you'd like this.  

•  All of the above is done to help buyers be sure of what they are getting before they spend hard-earned money! For this reason, I am not the cheapest on eBay and don't want to be. All offers are considered but please don't expect me to give stuff away :)

• Vinyl will be removed from inner and securely packed during shipping to prevent splits.

Mint (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any moajor defects is acceptable

Good (G)

Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P)

The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad (B)

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
