Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band formed in East London in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris. They achieved initial success as pioneers of the new wave of British heavy metal, despite little radio or television support. "Live After Death" the album was recorded over 4-nights at Hammersmith, London, England (Oct. 8-9-10 and 12, 1984), and 4-nights at Long Beach Arena, Los Angeles, California, USA (March 14-15-16-17, 1985).
