Description

Very rare, hard-to-find first pressing version of Piece of Mind with the song "To Tame A Land" with it's original name "Dune" on the label. Most Maiden fans know the story of Frank Herbert not allowing Maiden to use the song title 'Dune', so they changed it at the last minute. However, the Italians didn't get the memo and printed 'Dune' on the label.
The sleeve is a gatefold, and bears the song title 'To Tame a Land' on the lyrics - so the 'Dune' song name only appears on the label. Please see close up pictures showing label and sleeve being printed/pressed in Italy.
The record is a solid VG with typical defects. The vinyl is VG. There are some long scratches as seen in the photo, but no skips. I have specifically played this on two turntables before listing this album to make sure those scratches didn't cause any problems: a newer Audio-Technica and a vintage Empire. If you have an old cartridge, it will play with some noise, but a newer cart will play it with very little noise.
Will ship with album outside of sleeve, in rigid toploader and archival Mylite in an oversized box.
