Vinyl Surfaces - VG
Audio Test - VG.
- Listened to in full on budget deck and Audio Technica Studio headphones.
- The most audible crackles are at the start of track 1 and are much better from there on in...Please click the link at the top of the listing to hear samples from the actual album listed here. Gaps between tracks/very quiet parts of songs have some audible light background noise/crackles - but this album packs the songs so tightly the gaps are about 1/2 to 1 second. Once the songs start these cannot be heard unless on a really quiet part or on the fade-outs.
- Overall the songs sound bright and clear and can be enjoyed without any major background noise.
- The original Analogue Mix also sounds fantastic, with great definition. Beats even the original masters of the CD version for feeling 'real' :)
Visual Inspection/Bright Light: Good
- Graded under the same VERY bright spotlights used to take the pictures of the record
- Moderate-to-heavy hairlines on each side under bright light. The kind of marks left by fairly heavy use and reasonable handling
- No deep scratches, no major marks.
- Europe - £12
- Asia Pac - £14
- Russia - £12
- U.S. - £12
- Australia - £14
- South America - £14
Visual Inspection - Bright Daylight: Looks EX
Vinyl Labels - EX
• Both labels excellent
• No mould or scratches, some wear round spindle holes
• Colours and printed text all perfect
Outer Sleeve - EX
• Nice sheen all round, no colour fading.
• About 5mm of visible wear on each corner
• Light to moderate wear and creasing on spine, all writing is clearly readable apart from the word 'Seventh' which has wear
Inner Lyric/Picture Sleeve - EX
• Eddie picture part excellent, no colour fading, a few very small creases
• Lyric part excellent. All lyrics perfectly visible and no colour fading, a few small creases
Vinyl Care/Preparation
• I hand-clean every vinyl listed using L'Arc Du Son cleaning solution. This removes old grease, dust etc. to improve the playback quality. This does sometimes leave residue marks, but these don't affect play.
• Once cleaned, I 'buff' the Vinyl using a very soft cleaning-cloth, then place it into an anti-static black sleeve. This sleeve is supplied with the Vinyl you buy.
• I also carefully clean and dry the Vinyl outer sleeves to remove old finger marks, dirt and dust. Once done the sleeves are placed into a PVC sleeve to keep them nice and clean, they are shipped with the plastic sleeve.
• Vinyls are then listened to end-to-end before grading, in order to make sure they don't skip etc. BEWARE VISUAL-ONLY GRADINGS...some Vinyls that look Near Mint to the eye have skips, others that look marked play near-perfectly. I've learned that you can't grade a Vinyl without listening to it :)
• Finally, I take lots of pics and rip the Vinyl to 256kbps MP3 (budget deck only at the moment) and make a sample video, uploaded to YouTube to let you hear the quality of the vinyl surfaces and see HD large pictures of the item.
• All of the above is done to help buyers be sure of what they are getting before they spend hard-earned money! For this reason, I am not the cheapest on eBay and don't want to be. All offers are considered but please don't expect me to give them away :)
Shipping & Payment
• Well packaged in stiff, thick card mailer + Stiffeners for protection.
• Vinyl will be removed from inner and securely packed during shipping to prevent splits
• I combine shipping cost for multiple purchases - please contact me to let me know before paying and I will give you a quote.
Please note eBay & Paypal charge me 15% fees on shipping cost. I have to pass this on, so the shipping label will have a slightly lower value than you paid..sorry but I can't do anything about this.
