Description
Released by Island in 1968, cat # WI 3122; this is “My Conversation” by the Uniques c/w “Love One Another” by Slim Smith.
This is the fourth of the five original Island white labels test pressings from this collection. The matrix numbers stamped into the dead wax are WIM 76 and WIM 71.
The A-side label just has the name on the artist and the track title. The B-side label has the same details written on, but are crossed out. There are no marks on the vinyl whatsoever, though there is a pressing fault towards the end of the A-side that does not affect play.
The record grades as MINT and comes in a plain white sleeve.
All of these singles come from the same special source – an original 60’s Top Rank DJ who started in the ballrooms and progressed to radio and record production in the 1970’s. The majority of the collection is mint or unplayed! All of these are one-offs, no duplicates so miss them at your peril! For the full story on the collection, please see our “me” page.
Postage and packing for one record will be £1 UK, £1.80 Europe and £2.50 USA and the Rest of the World. For two records, the costs are still just £1 UK, £2.20 Europe and £3.20 USA and the Rest of the World.
Insurance will be required if the value of the order exceeds £34. If you refuse insurance and the record is damage or goes missing in the post, I’m afraid we cannot be held responsible and will not entertain any claims. UK record delivery is an extra 70p and special delivery is £4.75. Overseas insurance will be either £3.50 or £5.50 dependent upon the value.
Payment by PayPal is preferred for all customers; though I will accept cheques or postal orders for UK customers. Overseas customers must pay by Paypal unless agreed otherwise prior to auction end.
