ULTRA RARE FRENCH ORIGINAL LP
Ismaïl & Sixu Touré - Mandinka Dong Disques Espérance – ESP165.526 France 1979
Under the radar LP, impossible to find now, contains several killer afro funk grooves with a sophisticated percussive disco edge and a unique Senegalese touch by the Touré brothers who went on to form the succesful 80s group Toure Kunda. The track Utammada was first heard on dj Gioumanne’s ‘Afro cosmic club’ (2011). Besides the uptempo dance tracks here’s also the original version of ‘Emma’. This LP is a good listen throughout, no bad tracks.
