Description

This is an amazing album and quite a rare one. I just played it again, though I didn't understand a word, the voices, rhythms, and instruments are totally compelling. I am no expert in grading, but the vinyl retains great shine and the record plays through without any apparent pops, whistles, skips, or the other faults vinyl is heir to. I am calling it VG+ to be safe, but it's in marvelous shape. I have seen elsewhere that this group, the five women on the jacket, has influenced everything from jazz to folk to rock to blues to hip-hop. Yup. There are several men's voices on the album as well. The cover does show some faults, creases along the edges and in the top left corner and the glue at the top and bottom seams has dried up and let go. I will resist the impulse to re-glue and leave that to the new owner. Other than that, the cover is in quite presentable condition (The cardboard is one piece and quite a lot lighter than that used for US made album covers.) This is your chance to own an outstanding piece of musical history, and I know you'll be as taken with the recording as I have been for the past 5 years or so.
