Original 1976 USA 7" Promo single. New plain paper sleeve. Cat no United Artists UA-XW816-Y
Unfortunately this record has a hairline crack in the Styrene, which is more prominent on the stereo side. There is a small area of damage to the stereo side playing surface through which the hairline crack runs, suggesting that the hairline crack was probably caused by an impact to the surface at some time (see pictures 5, 6, 7 and 8). This area of damage may also cause a problem playing the stereo side. Please read for full details :
- Mono side (white label) - graded on our usual Sony test deck :
- PLAY GRADES in EXCELLENT condition, with a just a few background crackles heard on the quiet intro.
- Stereo side (yellow label) - 2 play tests as follows
- On our usual Sony test deck :
- When it gets to the small area of damage it sticks 3 times and has to be gently helped through each time. Before and after the damage it played Very Good with a few light background clicks
- On our back-up Pioneer test deck :
- When it gets to the small area of damage it clicks a few times but doesn't stick or jump. Before and after the damage it played Very Good with a few light background clicks
- Conclusion - You may be lucky, the stereo side may play fine on your deck. Either way the mono side will not be a problem
There is some light staining on the white label. Record centre is punched (see pictures).
