Nautilus Half-Speed Superdiscs were MFSL's audiophile competitor in the eighties and many critics consider their mastering process as good as superior to MFSL's in reproducing the startling accuracy, musical energy and dynamics of the artist from their Original Master Tapes.

This Nautilus Superdisc utilized state-of-the-art technology and the finest Virgin Vinyl. Each album was individually inspected using the highest quality control standards for virtually one of the most silky quiet pressings you have ever heard.

Band Members are J. Geils on Guitar, Peter Wolf on Vocals, Magic Dick on Harmonica and Alto Saxophone, Seth Justman on Vocals and Keyboards, Steven Bladd on Vocals and Drums, Daniel Klein - Bass. Recorded at Longview Farm, Massachusetts. 

 J. Geils, after spending the seventies as a hard touring rock band, re-tooled their sound for the eighties "Love Stinks." The album resulted in the band's first ever certified Gold LP which showed that in addition to their legion of long-time fans, newer fans were just discovering the band as well.

This new J. Geils sound made this album's tracks much more friendly to the radio audience. The decade old band wasn't afraid of the new promo video marketing tool (MTV) as several of the tracks were made into short films -- the hilarious rock of the title track, Love Stinks -- as well as Come Back and Night Time. Definitely one of J. Geils best cover to cover LPs ever.
