GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : musica ben costruita e non del tutto convenzionale. Il tema principale alterna atmosfere allegre con qualche cupo passaggio, "Thème d'Agnès" (a2) è ben condotto dalla chitarra elettrica con il basso a supporto, breve spazio poi per sax e tromba con sordina dalle sfumature jazz, infine arriva l'orchestra. "Venez les Filles" (b1) è un piacevole rock'n'roll cantato in Francese da Les Chats Sauvages ormai senza Dick Rivers. "Moïse Twist" ha un ritmo molto vivace prevalentemente basato su strumenti a fiato e percussioni.

Notes : well-structured and and not entirely conventional music. The main theme alternates joyful atmospheres with some dark passage, "Thème d'Agnès" (a2) is well conducted by the electric guitar with bass in support, later a short space for sax and muted trumpet with jazzy flavors, lastly comes the orchestra . "Venez les Filles" (b1) is a nice rock'n'roll sung in French by Les Chats Sauvages by now without Dick Rivers. "Moïse Twist" has a very lively rhythm mainly based on wind instruments and percussion.
