NOTE: ....After working with various territory band in 1948 and '49, J.R. caught his first taste of big time, with Henry Busse in 1950. Then 6 months with Buddy Rich 1951, next Claude Thornhill, Gene Quill and finally with Charlie Mingus and Teddy Charles........
