Condizioni : la copertina presenta nella parte superiore del lato frontale le tracce giallognole lasciate dalla rimozione di due adesivi, per il resto solo poca usura minore; grande stato, EX+ / il vinile ha sul secondo lato dell'etichetta la  scritta del numero 49 (scansione n° 4). Alcuni segni ed impronte causate dalla copertina interna (vg+, se solo visualmente gradato) condizionano minimamente l'ascolto con scarso rumore superficiale tra gli spazi che separano un brano dall'altro e pochissimi lievi clicchettii (ex+); bello stato, EX

Condition : the cover shows in the upper part of the front side the yellowish traces left by the removal of two stickers, for the rest only a little minor wear, EX + / vinyl has on the second side of the label the writing of the number 49 (scan No. 4). Some signs and inner sleeve marks (vg+, if only visually graded) minimally affect listening with little surface noise in the flat record surface - the land between the grooves - which separates a track from another and very few slight clicks (ex+), EX

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : sette brani di eccellente jazz talvolta anche con vene funk come in “Spill-Over” (b4) o “New Thing” (a2). Jac Murphy suona il piano elettrico, ben supportato dal contrabbasso e di volta in volta da strumenti a fiato come il flauto basso (b1), il sassofono (a1, b3) e la batteria (b4). Il Jac Murphy Trio è rimasto quasi sconosciuto: i pochi album usciti nella seconda metà degli anni 70 hanno una certa stanchezza interpretativa, cancellando così le buone aspettative degli appassionati dopo il bel periodo iniziale tra il 1967 e il 1971.

I titoli dei sette brani con la loro durata possono esser letti guardando i due lati dell'etichetta raffigurati nelle scansioni n° 3 e 4.

Notes :  seven tracks of very good jazz even sometimes with some funky tone as in "Spill-Over" (b4) or "New Thing" (a2). Jac Murphy plays the electric piano, well supported by the double bass and from time to time by wind instruments like the bass flute (b1), sax (a1, b3) and drums (b4). The Jac Murphy Trio has remained almost unknown: the few albums released in the second half of the 70s have a certain artistic stagnation, removing  the good expectations of the fans after the nice initial period between 1967 and 1971.

The titles of seven tracks with their lenght can be read looking at both sides of the label depicted in the scans No. 3 and 4.
