On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Jack Bruce called "Songs For A Tailor" and is a VERY rare 1969 UK 1st pressing on the 1st Press Polydor label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE AS A 100% GENIUNE 1ST PRESSING!!!!  GENIUNE 1969 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP WERE ONLY EVER PRESSED FOR AN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNT OF TIME - BEFORE THEY WERE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY RADICALLY CHANGED!!!!  LATER PRESSINGS TURN UP QUITE REGULARLY - BUT GENIUNE LAMINATED 1ST PRESSINGS VIRTUALLY NEVER DO!!!!  AND I WILL EXPLAIN EXACTLY WHY THIS LP IS SO RARE - AND SHOW ALL THE IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES!!!! 

FIRSTLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THIS LP HAS A LAMINATED GATEFOLD COVER WITH A 'SINGLE THICKNESS' FRONT FLAP!!!!  THIS WAS STOPPED ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER RELEASE (PROBABLY AS A COST CUTTING EXERCISE) - AND ALL LATER PRESSINGS WERE UNLAMINATED AND HAD A STANDARD GATEFOLD COVER.  AND AS YOU CAN IMAGINE - THIS COVER LOOKS ABSOLUTELY MILES BETTER AS A LAMINATED 1ST PRESSING - WHEN COMPARED TO THE DULL LIFELESS MATT UNLAMINATED COVERS THAT FOLLOWED LATER!!!!   SECONDLY THIS LP HAS DISTINCTIVE 'LARGE' TEXT ON THE POLYDOR LABELS.  IF YOU LOOK AT THE LABELS YOU CAN SEE THAT THE '583 058' CAT NUMBER ON THE RIGHT OF EACH LABEL IS IN VERY LARGE 1960S POLYDOR STYLE TEXT!!!!  AGAIN THIS WAS CHANGED TO MUCH SMALLER TEXT STRAIGHT AFTER RELEASE!!!!  THIRDLY ON THE BACK RIGHT OF THIS 1ST PRESS LAMINATED COVER THE TEXT '583 058 STEREO' IS PRINTED - WHEREAS ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS IT SAYS '583 058 SUPER' (LATER PRESSINGS ALSO HAVE 'SUPER' PRINTED ON THE SPINE)!!!!  AND LASTLY AT THE BOTTOM ON THE BACK OF THIS 1ST PRESS LAMINATED COVER IT HAS 'MANUFACTURED BY POLYDOR RECORDS....' TEXT - WHEREAS ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS THIS CHANGES TO 'MARKETED BY POLYDOR' AND IS ENCIRCLED BY A BOX.  THIS GENIUNE 1969 UK 1ST PRESSING WITH ALL THE IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES LISTED ABOVE IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN SUPERB CONDITION OVERALL AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND LIKE THIS!!!! JUST LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS LP IS ALSO VERY SOUGHT AFTER AS OF COURSE JACK BRUCE WAS A FORMER MEMBER OF CREAM - WITH ERIC CLAPTON & GINGER BAKER!!!!  IT ALSO WORTH NOTING THAT PETE BROWN CO-WROTE ALL THE TRACKS OF THIS LP WITH JACK BRUCE!!!!  THIS IS THE 1969 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS POLYDOR LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS GATEFOLD LAMINATED COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS A GENIUNE UK 1969 1ST PRESSING (ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the original Polydor UK 1st pressing from 1969 and is in STUNNING condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 583 058 on the 1st Press Polydor Label (see picture) and is a UK 1st Stereo pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS ONLY EVER BEEN PLAYED 2 OR 3 TIMES AT THE VERY MOST!!!! The vinyl is in STUNNING condition!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  The only other thing to mention is that one side of the record does have some 'bag sweat' marks, simply from natural 'unremoved' storage over the years!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!!  It plays with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some absolutely MEGA low level background sound on the run on grooves and VERY occassional gap - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! Obviously I cannot include the 'bag sweat' marks I mentioned above in the grading (though of course they must be mentioned) - but they do NOT sound and are purely superficial!!!! The record must grade FULL Excellent if not better!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is UNSPLIT and in STUNNING condition overall - though there is some rubbing on one side.  The 1st Press Gatefold Laminated Gatefold Cover is in SUPERB condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), SUPERB shiny laminate, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed), and NO writing!!!! The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated inside is in SUPERB condition with NO grubbyness, NO writing, NO rubbing, and barely ANY yellowing AT ALL!!!!  The cover must grade FULL Excellent if not Excellent+!!!! STUNNING COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS A GENIUNE 1969 LAMINATED 1ST PRESSING (ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
