Description

Rare private press Jazz LP-Request Time with Jack Staulcup and his Orchestra(Apogee Records/Century Custom V14487, US) Assumed to have been pressed between 1958 and the mid 60's. Recorded (and pressed by?) Century Custom Recording of Paducah, KY. Rarely seen Paducah, Kentucky territory band that ran for decades. The Staulcup band also had a long residence playing at a club in nearby Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He had a few private press albums that were sold at their shows and through mail order. None of them turn up very often and this one is probably the one that turns up the least. See pics for tracklist and band members. See my other listings for other rare jazz LPs. RECORD: VG. Cleaned and partially play tested. Quite a few light scratches, but none that can be felt. Play tested a large portion of both sides. There was static and occasional popping but no skips on my turntable. Dry cleaned the dust off first thing, and it cleaned up pretty well. Could use a better cleaning with fluid and you could get more dirt out if the grooves. Minor wear on the blue/silver labels and a light spindle marks.

Jacket. VG+. Sturdy, heavy cardboard jacket. Very minor wear here and there that you would expect from an LP jacket this old. No splits, but very small tear on bottom right corner (see pics, wouldn't call it a split yet.) Small, stain spots on the back cover. Initials written on back cover.
