Description
This is a promo-only limited edition 7" single by Jack White, on his own Third Man Records.
The official Third Man Records catalog (see their website) documents this release as limited to "quantity undisclosed." Rumors (see completed ebay listings) estimate it at 200 or 300.
A-side label is blue
felt. Run off groove hand-etched with catalog and matrix numbers, and the phrase "MOUNTAIN OF THE TRUE GOD".
B-side is blank but the entire surface is etched with the Third Man Records logo "III" - note this etching extends across both vinyl and label (difficult to photograph, but see photos).
Packaged by Third Man Records in a plain black sleeve.
Catalog number on the label (and reproduced in images on the Third Man Records website) is TMR-271, but note this seems to be a misprint as TMR-271 is the catalog number for Jack White's new album, Lazaretto. The TMR website catalog lists this single as TMR-272, despite accompanying photos with label printed as TMR-271 as on this copy. Etching in the run-off groove of Side A also has catalog number TMR-272.
This 7" was sent to selected parties directly by Third Man Records only, and not offered for sale anywhere. (I won it in a contest held by a record store chain to promote the release of Lazaretto.)
It is unplayed, therefore mint.
