Description

You are bidding on a piece of ROCK 'N ROLL HISTORY! This highly coveted 78 record is considered by many to be the very first ROCK 'N ROLL record to be released in 1951. This is the original FIRST RELEASE of "ROCKET 88" issued on 78 R.P.M. on the CHESS label #1458. This recording was performed by JACKIE BERNSTON AND HIS DELTA CATS. Chess later re-released "Rocket 88" on a 45 in 1954. The 45's are extremely rare as well as the original on 78.

The condition of this record is no a NM, however the label is very good on both sides and free of stickers, writing, and any stains. The sound quality is very good also. The record itself shows typical scuffing and surface wear as on any 78 that's over 55 years old. There are chips around the outer edge but nothing that disturbs the quality of play. You can bid with confidence on this item it will be exactly as described. I will require insurance when shipping this item @ $1.40 for every $50. Thanks and Happy Bidding!
