Right here goes, a version of J. Mittoo’s “Rough old life”......
Intro starts with police siren (Olde English Black Maria if my memory serves me well) then voices..
Voice 1...“Hey Prophesy, Prophesy !”.....
Voice 2.....”What me lion ?” then something about...”They trying to mash up me dance” & then summit about “Babylon” whatever that may mean ?...
This intro section contains some evident clicks, about 30 seconds, due to what looks like cello tape residue, however once Jackie Mittoo kicks in it fades and rest of plate is fine & only contains the occasional isolated pop & click.....
Side 2 is a mystery, female English (?) vocalist in a “Lovers” stylee with skank & Sax accompaniment...at various points lyrics go in no particular order...”How many times do I think I’ve found love”...”Always the Clown.. cause they alwayslet me down”....
”It’s truuuuue, that it’s not you...and they don’t stay long”...
"Always the user never the used, always the hurt”...
Ooh she does go on ! like a broken record she is...geddit ?
No wonder she's unlucky... If I was her, which I'm not, I'd give up on men, she's obviously had it hard, but not often and perhaps not hard enough ?
Where was we ?....Oh Yes...This track does contain crackle & clicks till about 2/3rds through due to same cello tape residue (?)..SEE PIC 3.
2nd track is a version of same though plays OK...sorry about vagueness of side 2 but its stumped me....
