Description
Artist: JACKIE McLEAN
Title: “Bluesnik”
Label: BLUE NOTE - BLP 4067. Monaural pressing on medium weight vinyl. Label address on both sides is “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC * 47 WEST 63rd * NYC.”
Side 2 has deep groove, Side 1 does not. “RVG” and “ear” symbol are stamped in the runout on both sides. Matrix number is etched.
Date: 1961.
Personnel: Jackie McLean – alto sax; Freddie Hubbard – trumpet; Kenny Drew – piano; Doug Watkins – bass; Pete La Roca - drums.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is EXCELLENT with full original gloss. Has been played a small number of times and handled with care. There are a couple slight hairline paper scuffs but no serious or audible marks or problems. Plays beautifully with superb fidelity. Labels are clean. This lovely LP is one that you will never need to upgrade.
JACKET: Laminated jacket is EXCELLENT with nice bright artwork. Seams, spine, and surfaces are excellent. A bit of minor wear at corner tips. Reverse is clean and white with no writing, or cutout indications. There is a small original price sticker at top right corner with a handwritten price of 3.98. Overall a very fine jacket to match the beautiful disc.
