Description
Please read my description carefully before bidding. I will ship the item worldwide and will accept a free return if it doesn't match the listing description.
This one is a mono pressing of New Jazz Labels (Prestige Records) NJLP-8231 "MAKIN' THE CHANGE" by JACKIE McLEAN. This one is an original issue from Prestige Records, not a reissue version by OJC or Classic Records. Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in 1957 and released in 1960, with "RVG" stamped on the dead wax of both sides. "PURPLE" Labels. Labels address: PRESTIGE RECORDS INC., 203 SOUTH WASHINGTON AVE., BERGENFIELD, N.J.
Artists Include: Jackie McLean (alto saxophone), Mal Waldron and Gil Coggins (piano), Curtis Fuller (trombone), Webster Young (trumpet), Arthur Phipps and Paul Chambers (bass), Art Taylor and Louis Hayes (drums).
The vinyl played NM- on Side 1 with light background noises on some passages. Side 2 played VG+ with more background noises than Side 1 but not overpowering musics. Under the bright light, lots of hairlines and scuffs on both sides.
The cover is VG. Looks fray and worn. Split along the upper seam (please see photo).
The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.
My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-.
You will be satisfied. And I will accept a free return. Please bid with confidence.
