Description

JACKSON C FRANK:  Blues run the game b/w Can't get away from my love; UK Columbia DB 7795 (1965)

The only and very rare UK single by the legendary US folk-singer Jackson C Frank who was so influential on the UK folk scene in the mid-60's and was a one-time companion of Fairport Convention singer Sandy Denny. His songs were covered by amongst others Nick Drake, Tom Paxton, Bert Jansch, and Dave Cousins.

Contains an alternate (2.49) take of "Blues run the game" (to the 3.34 Paul Simon produced album version), with additional bass and guitar accompaniment. The b-side "Can't get away from my love" is neither on the original album nor on the 2001 Sanctuary single CD release.

Condition: EX- apart from slight edge warp which causes a sound for the first few revolutions on each side but does not seem to affect tracking (with 1.5g stylus weight). 

Because of this fault the single is offered as a collection filler at a low start price.
