JADE WARRIOR: LAST AUTUMN's DREAM
(U.S.A. Vertigo / Mercury VEL-1012, 1972)
grade (disc/cover): EX / NEX
notes on condition: A beautifully crisp and clean copy. Very few imperfections at all. It has that solid, smooth-to-the-touch feel of a record that hasn't been handled much. The lightest bit of ring wear visible at the top & bottom of back; 2-3 minor creases...There's a "ripple" running horizontally across the inner rear gatefold--from the manufacturing process--that is pictured above, it's just not visible. (it cuts across the members' pics, straight through the middle). Comes with original label inner sleeve.
Sophisticated, dramatic, exotic & dynamic progressive head music written, played and produced by the three members of Jade Warrior. Evokes Far East fantasy; the psychedelic soundtrack to minimalist Japanese calligraphic scroll art come to life, as played by English kids who probably never left the University library. It's good, too! You could compare it to Morricone's Western soundtracks, both in the unlikelihood of the combination and the level of success they reach in capturing an exotic otherworld based on imagined childhood fever dreams. Their third LP I believe.
tony duhig: guitar
jon field: alto/concert flute, congas, percussion
glyn harvard: vocals, bass, ac guitar

I try to present the items I sell in an accurate and honest way. Please contact me with any questions you have.
Records are conservatively graded taking into account both how the record looks and sounds. I try to describe the condition of each item as completely as I can; please also refer to the pictures. A NM record or sleeve shows little or no signs of ever having been handled. A disc or sleeve with only the slightest signs of wear and handling, or one that is in NM condition with one or two minor flaws, will be graded EX. My next grade is NEX for items that don't qualify for a strict "EX" but don't show wear consistent with most people's definition of VG+. A NEX record will still have a nice gloss and can be expected to play back extremely well. A VG+ record will show more signs of wear & handling but this can be light scuffing with little effect on playback. A VG record has more wear to both the grooves and the label; it will still deliver an enjoyable listening experience.
