A1 Three Horned Dragon A2 Eyes on You A3 Bride of Summer A4 Water Curtain Cave A5 Minnamoto's Dream B1 (We Have) Reason to Believe B2 Barazinbar B3 Yellow EyesI think maybe what kept Jade Warrior from achieving the success level of the big time proggers like Yes, ELP, Tull and the like was that (to their credit) they refused to stick to any particular style. That to me, is what makes this album so appealing. Another huge factor is the creative guitar playing of Tony Duhig, who is outstanding throughout! The best evidence of the eclectic nature of this album comes in the back to back sequence of the good rockin' (We Have) Reason to Believe, and the almost Krautrock sounding Barazinbar (my favorite cut). The band's roots are firmly planted in Rock and Roll to be sure, but the outstanding musicianship simply will not allow them to stay inside the boundaries of 3 chord rock. "Three Horned Dragon", the opening cut, is also a winner. There's a little something for everyone here, but at the heart, it's all about really excellent musicians playing very well together, and loving what they do. That's a winning combination every time.
