JAMAICA'S OWN VAGABONDS - Same Title (Decca Mono DFE 8588) EP 1964
This Iconic recording was made in London after The Vagabonds came to the UK and featured on the BBC's 'Tonight' programme - It was the first taster for most Brits of Jamaican Ska and such was their popularity they were invited back.The band consisted of Jimmie James,Colston Chen,Wallace Wilson,Philip Chen,Winston (Sparrow) Martin, Carl (Grog) Smith,Carl Noel,Rupert Balbogin, and Count 'Prince' Miller and they continued to play regularly all over London....and then Jimmie took over,but that's a whole different story.
