Offered here is a still-sealed copy of what appears to be a later pressing of the Warner Bros. soundtrack album "Jamboree: The Complete Score of Warner Bros. Fabulous New Musical." The phrase "Disc Jockey Copy, Not for Sale" is printed on the front cover.
Based on a close inspection, this appears to be a later pressing of this much sought after LP, and NOT the original, ultra-rare 1950s pressing. From what I've read, the original pressing had a pasted-on cover over a stock cardboard sleeve, while the cover artwork on this copy is printed directly on the jacket. The original pressing also had liner notes printed directly on the back cover board, while the liner notes on this copy are printed on a pasted-on sheet on the back cover. Because this copy is still sealed, I haven't opened it to inspect the vinyl or the record label, but, judging solely by the weight and thickness of the still sealed record jacket, I'd say that this copy does NOT seem to be pressed on the thick deep-groove vinyl that would've been used to manufacture the 1957 original.
Although this LP does not appear to be an original first pressing, it nonetheless offers an affordable opportunity to add a "placeholder copy" of this highly collectible album to your collection at a fraction of the price that a near mint copy of the original would cost in today's market.
