JAMES BROWN / MOTHER EARTH -- Vibrations From The United States Air Force / Series #2 - Sept. 1972 -- hard to find, original 1972 U.S. album.  Wicked rare and apparently unknown Radio DJ Promo LP issued by, of all people, the U.S. Air Force and featuring one side each devoted to R&B - Funk - Soul legend James Brown and much-loved Westcoast Hippie Blues - Psych group Mother Earth with Tracy Nelson (what a wild pairing ...)  Both sides feature songs + interview sessions with the artists:  James Brown is apparently interviewed at the Apollo Theater and his Q&A features some really choice gems:  "I wanna teach, I wanna rap, get a rapport so I can get a message across ... My plight in life is to contribute as much as I can to this generation ... My plight in life is to leave something that will never be forgotten, a memorial ..."  He also mentions his work with "drop-out kids":  "As I told my good friend the Reverend Jesse Jackson:  Numbers have no color."  In a bizarre contrast, right after Brown speaks the announcer goes into a public service announcement promoting the U.S. Air Force (!) who released a series of these records.  These LP's were never meant for commercial distribution or sale, and most were destroyed after their air date so very few have survived.  In generic white cover.  Record:  VG+, light surface mark towards end of Mother Earth side, light surface wear, overall very clean, on white U.S. Air Force label, U.S. press.
