Description

Absolutely stunning copy of the original 1971 pressing of James Brown’s Hot Pants LP on Polydor PD-4054. Still in the shrinkwrap and almost perfectly mint inside and out. The disc is pristine and plays flawlessly. The cover is also just about mint. A truly top, top original copy, near impossible to beat.


This copy came from the estate of legendary jazz bassist Ray Brown, who was friends with James Brown. I saw some photos of JB at one of Ray’s parties, and I assume this copy was given to him by James himself. All his records seemed to be gifts from friends or promos he got from labels he was recording with. Anyhow it’s a nice little bit of history for this copy.
