Details:   KING RECORDS.  Monaural pressing on medium weight vinyl.  Catalog number is KING 683.   Labels are flat black with silver text. 

This is the rare original cover that was later withdrawn for unknown reasons, and is highly sought-after by today’s collectors.

Year:   1961 

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is VG / VG++ with full original gloss.  Side One has several minor hairlines scuffs that will cause a few tics to be heard in a couple places, but the fidelity is very clean and crisp owing to the fact that this album was played sparingly.  Side Two is very clean with a few paper scuffs but overall very clean and nice.  Plays great.  Labels are clean.  A very decent  playing copy.  

JACKET:   Jacket is nice VG++.  Front art work is nice and bright, with a few slight traces of surface wear, but overall very beautiful and white.  Reverse is clean.  Would grade EXCELLENT but top and bottom seam are completely split.  No writing, stickers, cutout indications, or other issues.  Overall a very fine display piece, suitable for framing!

“James' third album (his first for King) features 1960-era James Brown, moving from King's Federal subsidiary to the parent label with the hits "Bewildered," "If You Want Me," "You've Got the Power," "I'll Go Crazy," "Baby You're Right" (co-written with Joe Tex), and "I'll Never, Never Let You Go." Although Brown's albums would soon be interchangeable, the same cuts reappearing again and again, this is one of his better efforts as well as a pivotal point in his career.”
