James Brown and His Famous Flames - Please Please Please (1964/1959): 1964 King MONO pressing of this gem! 1964 was the second issue for Please Please Please, the first was 1959 (as King 610). Absolutely beautiful copy. King records RARELY appear in this great condition. The country and R&B records they made were generally well loved and well played. This LP looks and plays in marvelous condition with only a few faint marks from the paper sleeve and I’ve included a sound sample of the noisiest (not really so noisy!) here:
Cover is beautiful! It has no seam splits, tears, cut-outs or writing, it was in a plastic sleeve that seems to have kept it this amazing for it's 46 years. Looks like it could have been purchased yesterday!! No visible sleeve or ring wear at all! Original black label pressing with King in letters about 3 inches across (the second of the black labels). Labels show only faint spindle wear and a small pen mark (looks like a bird with a C underneath) that seems to have been the owners personal mark as it's on the R&B and Jazz LPs I'm listing (Check 'em out!).
James Brown was in good company. In the R&B instrumental field King had Tiny Bradshaw (I'm selling one of his this week too!) , Lucky Millinder, Todd Rhodes, Bill Doggett, Big Jay McNeely, Sonny Thompson and Earl Bostic. Their vocal R&B lineup included Roy Brown, Ivory Joe Hunter, Hank Ballard, Little Willie John, Wynonie Harris, Bullmoose Jackson, Little Willie Littlefield, Eddie Vinson, Jimmy Witherspoon, Little Esther (Phillips), Annie Laurie, and Lula Reed.

Shipping In the US, LP is shipped via media mail ($4.00, additional LPs only $1 each) or priority shipping (based on ZIP code). Airmail to Canada is $8.00. Outside the US, shipping to all other locations is $15.00.
Insurance: Insurance is REQUIRED on winning bids of $50 or more and will be added to the invoice. Feel free to request insurance on any amount value. International packages are mailed USPS First Class International.
All orders are shipped well protected in record mailer boxes with cardboard or bubble wrap fillers. Without insurance, the package becomes the responsibility of the postal system to deliver it undamaged. I am not responsible if it does not get to you. On overseas packages I can provide the date sent and Customs form number. I can also provide the tracking number on REGISTERED and EXPRESS mail packages. For domestic shipment within the US I can provide the date sent.
