Description

THE INCLUDED PICTURE IS NOT MY ALBUM -- I TOOK THE PICTURE FROM THE INTERNET. IT IS THE SAME RECORD AND THE SAME COVER -- GENERALLY KNOWN AS THE "WITHDRAWN" FIRST SMASH RECORDS COVER. A DESCRIPTION OF OUR ALBUM IS AS FOLLOWS: Bought this LP new, in, I think, 1964? MONAURAL MGS 27058 -- Smash label mono LP. Played it with care a bunch of times back in the day -- it's been stored since then. We NEVER grade vinyl, but, I'd say this record is in very good or better condition, by our standards, for it's age. I took very good care of my albums. Cover jacket seems to be VG or VG+ too; it shows some rubbing from moving it around over the years (kind of a light-but-visible rounded impression area at top and bottom of cover -- probably from years of tight storage), but it's still strong and very attractive with hardly any edge wear. Comes with the original Smash inner sleeve. On the back of the cover there is an area at the top, around 4 inches long, where I believe I removed a sticker (price, store name?), which seems to be the only visible flaw. The vinyl is shiny and looks great -- just a view very small, very light scratches. Some light markings lines near the hole on both sides from when, I believe, the record was placed on the turntable (little impression-like lines made when you slightly miss the hole when putting the record on). And, this LP has the Mona Lisa cut, which is absent from the late, 1968 (?) reissue. And, I'm not sure, but, I believe my album has a different recording of "I got you." But, that is information I found on the internet -- I've never heard the late reissue of this album. Buyer pays $5.80 S/H and insurance if wanted. Please see our other auctions. Thanks..
