Up for bids is a great classic Mono Soul/Funk LP by James Brown called "Try Me". King Records. 635. 1959.
RARE ORIGINAL PRESSING WITH THE GIRL HOLDING A SMOKING GUN COVER!!!
ORIGINAL PRESSING ON THE CROWN-LESS KING RECORDS LABELS!!!
3-inch wide King Logos.
NOTE:
The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is in VG Minus to VG condition. Has some minor wear on front and back. Back of cover has some minor staining and some faint writing in pencil. Previous owner taped the top and bottom next to opening to correct some splitting. Some of the tape has gone brown. Split on top is about 5 1/2" and the bottom about 7 3/8". Spine is still all intact. Other than the aforementioned, it's still a nice looking cover!
I would rate the record’s condition as VG++. There are some marks that do not affect play. Sounds great on my player!
