Description
Up for auction is a super rare promo pressing of the James Gang album Thirds, originally released in the U.S. on ABC Records (ABCX 721) in 1971:
-Guaranteed original pressing, not recent reissue or import -White label promotional pressing -Deadwax etching, "With Love From Jessica and ?" -Embossed promo stamp on front cover (see photo) -Original textured, paste-down cover -Original inner sleeve w/ liner notes
-No UPC/bar code on cover
Condition: Cover is in very nice condition, no significant signs of wear. No ring wear, no seam splits. Shows some light rub on back bottom edge, but it's not significant. Corners are sharp with a little rub. Very nicely preserved original. Grade: Excellent (EX)
Vinyl is also very nice, still has its original shine. Under a strong light, a few faint, superficial hairlines show up on both sides, but nothing deep or serious, nothing that should affect the quality of playback. Labels are clean, unmarked. Looks like this records has maybe been played a couple times but handled with care.
Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)
How I Pack Your Records:
I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
