Description
I was not able to find a lot of information on this record but I believe it to be the highly collectible UK Gramophone Co. Ltd. edition of James Joyce reading Anna Livia Plurabelle. It is a 12" 78 rpm record. The numbers are stamped in the dead wax. Side 1: Cc 17594 followed by a triangle with a II symbol above it. Side 2: Cc 17595 also followed by a triangle with the same II symbol above it along with T1. There is also a "G" stamped on each side. There is a chip in the outer edge of the record. On side one it stops exactly at the spot the first groove begins. It would be very difficult if not impossible to start this side at the very beginning. On side two the chip extends throught the first 15-20 grooves. Aside from this damage to the outer rim, the record has high gloss with some very light scuffs but no deep scratches. It has a bit of a haze from aging. If not for the chip I would rate it 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. I don't know this record's value so I offering it at auction with a low opening bid.
