There were only a few other albums in the 1970s roots movement that even attempted to go this deep - the Flying Burrito Brother's Gilded Palace of Sin and Gene Clark's forgotten No Other come to mind - but none of them were such true products of the real roots they purported to spring from.

How to describe JLD's first studio effort? Quite simply a masterpiece of every influence that ever existed in the genre of Rock. If you've gotten hold of his final effort "Free Beer Tomorrow: then this is your next stop. Endlessly eternal and forever deep. Finding a still sealed original copy?!?! Forget it – not even a HOPE!!! (b)          The record is believed to come in its original stock inner sleeve.

(c)           The record is  apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER

COVER IS (WEAK) NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP   (A SMALL PIECE OF SHRINK WRAP IS MISSING)

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 2.

-         The cover has yellowish dust speckles covering about 10% of the front cover (20% of the back cover); from what we can determine, these speckles are NOT permanent stains and can be easily cleaned up once the shrink wrap has been removed.

-         Cover shows some light yellowing on back side, apparently from aging.

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the bottom seam (nothing significant)

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No wrinkles or creases

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No tearing: no chips, dents or nicks on the seams

-        No peel-off marks

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.

-        No warping

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No glue traces or wax residue.

-        No bar codes

-        No RIAA stamps or stickers.
