JAMES MOODY "HI FI PARTY" LP - On PRESTIGE Records #7011. Original MONO pressing with the classic Yellow & Black labels and the 446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address on the labels. The label is DEEP GROOVE on both sides with RVG stamped in the trail-off on side A and etched in the trail-off on side B. Thick vinyl, thick cardboard cover. The personnel: James Moody/tenor & alto saxes; Dave Burns/trumpet; William Shepherd/trombone; Pee Wee Moore/baritone sax; Jimmy Boyd/piano; John Lathan/bass; Clarence Johnson/drums; Eddie Jefferson/vocal. The vinyl is in shiny and clean VG++ to VG+ condition. There are some minor surface marks or scuffs, but none are serious enough to affect playback. Sound quality is very strong, with no skips or repeats. The thick cardboard cover is in excellent shape, displays wonderfully. Minor 1" seam wear at bottom right edge. Tiny owner name in ballpoint pen on back at top left & right corners. Small tear in back cover slick at middle of extreme right edge. NO bends or creases, NO cut-out marks of any kind, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. Address on back cover is 446 West 50th St., New York 19, N.Y. The songs are: There Will Never Be Another You; Hard To Get; Disappointed; Big Men; Show Eyes; Little John; And You Called My Name; Little Ricky.***Crisp original rice paper inner sleeve included!***
