Grade: Vinyl~ Vg+, the wax has a small (1/16 inch, 2.5 mm,) mark at the beginning of A1. It is deep, though it does not cause skipping- the needle will play through it. Because this track start with a long, quiet intro/Segue, I always would start the record just after the mark, before the song started. The rest of the album plays beautifully,Cover~ vg+, name written on front cover

Blurb: Wow! Before I heard this album I was skeptical, thinking that it would be too preachy for me. But after only one listen I new it would quickly become one of my favourite records. With driving basslines, syncopated complex percussion, great soaring vocals, and sublime keys from Tatum, this album more then earns its place in the pantheon of classic cosmic jazz recordings, beside such greats as Message from the Tribe, Hugh Brodie and the Real Thing, or Shamek Farrah: La Dee La La. Though, for some reason the mood set by Tatum is completely unique, distinct in it’s ethereal, hypnotic nature. Absolutely stunning from beginning to end…this record is as good as it is rare. Recommended! NOTE that in the soundclip I start it off just after the mark on the first track, so you can get a sense of how little of the song you miss, thanks.

Grading:

M- : wax is clean, looks and sounds unplayed

Vg++ : wax plays perfect though visually it may have a light, inaudible mark or two.

Vg+ : still a good LP, though there is an audible defect, either a mark or background noise.

Vg: wax has several marks that cause clicks or background noise. The LP’s still playable, though it’s not going to sound like new.

Vg-: forget about it
