Since eBay is now charging for shipping costs, I have decided to now offer free shipping for all purchases.  Please note that I still must charge for international shipping -- please see the note below. 

This item is a new and still-sealed original vinyl LP pressing, from 1972, of the album entitled One Man Dog by the great James Taylor.  It was released on the Warner Bros Records label, with cat # BS 2660.  Taylor had recorded a number of tracks with Danny Kortchmar at Select Sound Studios in 1967 before going on to great stardom, and a single was released that went nowhere.  Taylor then was signed by Peter Asher to Apple Records and – with Paul McCartney assisting – released his first album, his only (and self-titled) album on Apple.  It also went nowhere, but Taylor somehow convinced Allen Klein to release him from further contractual obligations to the label.  He then signed with Warner Bros and became a superstar.  And for good reason – he is truly one of the great American songwriters of our generation.  This is actually a very nice album, one of my favorites in that it has no hit singles at all.  It is just a collection of great, short folk tracks.  I especially like One Man Parade, Nobody But You, Chili Dog, his arrangement of the traditional One Morning in May (with a great duet by Linda Ronstadt) and the closest thing to a hit on this album, Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight.  As noted above, this pressing is still-sealed and has the track-listing promo sticker as shown.

As noted above, this album is in new and still-sealed mint condition, as shown in the photo.                                                                                     

NOTE TO ALL BUYERS OUTSIDE OF THE US:  Pursuant to Paypal Seller Protection Policy sections 11.3 and 11.4, EVERY item paid for by Paypal MUST be sent via PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL MAIL.  If you do not fully understand and agree, PLEASE DO NOT BID.  The fact that other sellers may send items by First Class International -- and put themselves at risk for claims -- is immaterial.  In addition, the USPS just increased their rates.  To Canada, the cost for 1 single LP is $22.75USD.  To Europe, the cost for 1 single LP is $30.75USD.  Multi-album LP sets cost more, so if you have any question at all about postage, please e-mail me before the auction ends (but please give me enough time to respond).  Other countries will be about the same as to Europe.  Combining multiple albums saves money, and I can send you the shipping costs upon request BEFORE YOU BID.  I recognize that this results in very high shipping costs, but it is of no benefit to me because the money is paid to the USPS for postage.  If you think this policy is unfair, contact Paypal -- I'm only following their rules.  If you have any questions about my shipping policy or costs, please send me an e-mail via My eBay.

I am not a dealer, and all of the items I place up for auction are from my personal collection gathered over the past forty-plus years.  I am selling my collection little by little to pay for college expenses for my two kids, in my spare time. 

Shipping within the US is free, via media mail.  If you want Priority shipping within the U.S., the cost is a function of weight and postal zone, and I will e-mail an invoice indicating the cost of priority (I can also provide this info while the auction is pending, if you e-mail me your zip code and the number of LPs). 

Insurance through the USPS is available, and once again my invoice will provide the cost information.  

NOTE:  Sealed items are collectible because they are sealed.  Since I do not own a store, I cannot return items to the manufacturer.  Once opened, I cannot refund the purchase price in full because opening significantly affects its value. 

NOTE: Media mail does not have tracking.  The USPS offers delivery confirmation with online tracking.  If you want online tracking with delivery confirmation,  ability, you must purchase delivery confirmation for $0.75.  

International Buyers – Please Note:

·         Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

·         Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

·         These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.

·         We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

I will always combine items.  Payment may be made by paypal.  If I do not receive payment for an item within fifteen (15) days of the end of the auction and I do not hear from you in response to e-mails, I will consider the auction results void and relist the item(s) for auction.
