1987 ORIGINAL UK LP RELEASE . JAMS LP1
This is the GENUINE ORIGINAL UK LP, not an edited re-issue nor bootleg. I bought it in 1987 from my local "Our Price" in the short time it was available (before it was withdrawn). Its rarity should not be underestmated, particularly in the condition offered here.
Their debut album, released on June 15th 1987 to rave reviews was only available in the shops until withdrawn in September that year. The LP had contained substantial sampling without permission, the most blatent being virtually the WHOLE of ABBA's 'Dancing Queen' on one of the tracks. ABBA bit back and following much publicised legal threats, the JAMMS were ordered to destroy all remaining copies of '1987', as well as the masters and pressing discs. Legend has it that the JAMMS took all the unsold records to Sweden on a failed mission to meet ABBA and subsequently set light to them.
