Description
Powered by eCommercePlayer.com Powered by eCommercePlayer.com Jan & Dean on a 33 RPM EP 7" ORIGINAL private pressing. One side features two songs by Jan and Dean, released on their single entitled Frosty the Snowman / She is Still Talking Baby Talk. According to Frank Kisko, this it the very first private pressing of a Jan and Dean record released in 11/77 by Frank Kisko and his friend Gary Cippolini (the "GC" in the run out grooves). GC 587 is etched in the run out grooves. The flip side is In the Still of the Night / Girl You're Blowing My Mind which was to be their third release on Warner Brothers label, which was never released. The vocals were not Jan and Dean on the flip side, but were studio singers that Jan had used. According to Frank Kisko, there were originally 100 numbered copies of this record that were pressed, which originally came with a numbered title sheet. Unfortunately, the title sheet is no longer available with this record. There is another symbol etched in the trail off groove. Frank Kisko has sent me additional information on this rare pressing. Frank writes:
"This record was pressed in New Jersey by my friend Gary Cippolini who lived in Newark, N.J. at the time. I supplied the records: the original Liberty 55522 Frosty The Snowman/She's Still Talking Baby Talk release and an acetate of the never released WB7240 In The Still Of The Night/Girl, You're Blowing My Mind from my collection. You have the ORIGINAL "private pressing" or bootleg of 100 that we did. I seriously doubt that somebody else would bootleg our bootleg.
Gary and I also released the second private pressing or bootleg of a J&D record in 2/78. We pressed 100 numbered copies of a 12" clear wax 45rpm record on ZIP RECORDS EKW-935A/B titled YELLOW BALLOON/ POCKETFUL OF RAINBOWS in true STEREO. The STEREO version was to be released as COLUMBIA CS-9461 and mono version as COLUMBIA CL-2661 on 3/6/67 titled SAVE FOR A RAINY DAY but it was cancelled and NEVER released in the US. The STEREO version was released in Japan on CBS YS-825-C in 7/67. There were also some radio station library copies released in STEREO in England of which 3 are known to exist: one owned by a collector in Switzerland and the second owned by a collector in the U.K. and the third owned by me in the U.S. in Edison, N.J. I also sent copies to Jan & Dean and I have signed copies in my collection from Dean. These we also sold for $5 in Goldmine magazine back then. Have you ever seen any of these records? They keep popping up on eBay every so often. These have a real label on them and look really nice as a 12" clear wax disc."

There is a complete audio stream of at least one side of each record on the listing page. Occasionally the audio stream "times out" overseas, limiting the sound, to a brief "clip". If this happens, please email or message me, and I will try to make a correction. Here is my grading system:
NM- = record appears mostly new and uplayed
VG++ = record looks great, may be a few light paper scuffs, plays like new.
VG+ = fairly nice copy, may be a few light marks, occasional tick or pop, but mostly clean sound.
VG = wear, scuffing, light scratches, ticks and pops, but a very playable copy.
VG- many scuffs or groove wear, plays with some noise, but still listenable.
G+ = a playable copy but very very worn, plays with lots of noise
G through G- = wall hanger
