JAN AND DEAN GOLDEN HITS Orig UK Liberty Mono SURF 1960s BEAT POP

Jan and Dean, Golden Hits.

Original 1979 UK pressed Liberty Records mono LP, LBY 1279.

Earliest issue with black and silver paper labels, A1/B1 matrix numbers and A1/R1 mothers/stampers.

Vinyl in vicually VG plus condition. A few spider trail marks are visible around the spindle areas, but not excessively so. Playing surfaces are still glossy and display just enough superficial and non-sounding scuffs and hairlines to shy away from an EX grade.

Playback is very solid and grades nearer EX. Occasional light crackle at band separators (but not run-ins), but otherwise plays with just one isolated and soft single tick to the B side.

Original Emitex poly-lined paper inner sleeve has a neat approx. two and a half inch split to bottom edge else is in clean and tidy condition.

External sleeve top end VG plus. Structurally in good order and not worn or tatty. Edges, entry side, visible external flaps to rear and spine all in good shape. Tips just gently worn but still square and not rounded. Just light signs of wear, including minimal ringwear impression, hairline imperfections to front panel laminate and a few pinch hairline creases leading in from edge areas.

Note that imperfections in the laminate tend to catch the light in the photo and are in reality only visible at certain angles - the overall appearance of the front panel is actually EX.

Rear panel only gently age toned to extremities. A small white leeching patch (not loss, and possibly removable) to top centre of front panel. Free of surface loss, stickers, pen marks etc.

Packaging in clean and complete condition with little signs of wear or use.
