Description
A 33 1/3 RPM stereo vinyl LP, 'Sorcerers' by Leeds duo, Jan Dukes De Grey
The album was released in 1970 on Decca, as part of their Nova Series.
This was the debut studio album from the duo. Recorded in October, 1969 and released in January, 1970
All songs were written by Derek Noy
Jan Dukes De Grey consisted of Derek Noy and Mick Bairstow who played a wide variety of instruments between them.
Derek Noy lead vocals, 6 & 12 string guitar, tabla, bass, organ, celeste, piano, trumpet, bongos, conga, drums, percussion, ashtray(!); Mick Bairstow vocals, clarinet, flute, cymbal, bell, bongos, chanter, tenor sax, tabla, percussion
David Hitchcock plays celeste on 'Sorcerers', 'Pedro' (Peter Rynston?) plays 'big' bass drum on 'Forms'. Peter Rynston provides 'rain & thunder' on 'Wonder Child'. Derek Noy is '1st Pixie voice and David Hitchcock is '2nd Pixie voice' on 'Sorcerers'

The the front cover is laminated with 'Clarifoil' and printed by Senol Printing Limited. The cover illustration shows various items associated with the sorcery and is by David Dragon. The back has a brief biography of the duo and notes on each of the 18 tracks. together with production & musician credits etc plus photos by David Wedgbury. There is a small hole in the sleeve at the top, right-hand corner that indicates whether the album is mono or stereo (depending on the colour printed on the inner sleeve. 'Red' for mono or, as in this case. 'blue' for stereo.
Poly-lined, printed paper, inner sleeve with record and equipment care and playing advice on both sides. The border is printed blue on both sides to show through the indicator hole. 'Stereo' is also printed on it umpteen times, just in case you weren't sure!

Condition
The vinyl looks VG+. No noticeable marks or scratches, just the odd, faint pop on playback .
The sleeve is G+, with faint ring wear, some marks and a few creases in the laminate. (see photo)
The inner sleeve has a slight tear at the centre hole, and is creased, especially at the corners
