For over 30 years Reference Recordings have been making some of the greatest sounding recordings on Earth. Engineer Prof. Keith O. Johnson, renowned for his more than 50 pioneering years of recording and equipment design, has always been at the forefront of high-resolution audio. He has engineered nearly 150 classical and jazz albums, including seven that have been nominated for and two that have won Grammys for Best Engineered Classical Recording.
Record is new and still sealed in it's original plastic sleeve. Perforation has about a quarter of an inch split at the very top. There is a price sticker on the front of the plastic sleeve. Corners are sharp, colors vibrant and spine is straight.

Review: The Czech State Philharmonic is not the same orchestra as the Czech Philharmonic, but rather the provincial ensemble based in Brno, Moravia. If they were playing Beethoven, this might prove a problem. But this was Leoš Janá?ek's home town, and the orchestra has an unbroken tradition of Janá?ek performance dating back to the composer himself, spectacularly maintained by conductor and Janá?ek specialist Frantisek Jilek. As a result, Serebrier, no slouch himself in this music, draws a superbly idiomatic response from his band, and Reference's recording captures the proceedings with sound of hair-raising impact (14 trumpets in the Sinfonietta; organ and bells in Taras Bulba). Go ahead, blow up your speakers!
