JANET JONES - " JANET JONES ", Midas Recordings/Folk Heritage Recordings (MFHR059) 1974.
Extremely rare, 1974, 1st issue Stereo LP by cult Welsh folk singer Janet Jones - includes her own compositions and excellent covers of songs by Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and Dory Previn.
UK issue and pressing. To the best of my knowledge, this first issue is the only issue and this LP has never had a CD release.
Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been retained and included in the auction - see photo).
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT (No scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, no excessive surface noise, only very light spindle trails, etc. In normal daylight the vinyl appears perfectly clean, under a bright grading lamp I can make out a couple of the very faintest of light paper scuffs - although these are purely visual and during playback, these very slight superficial flaws do not correspond directly to any audible defects.
On playback, it plays really well - strong, clean and without interuptions from clicks, crackles, surface noise, etc. This record has clearly had very few plays in it's lifetime amd short of finding an uplayed copy, this is about as good as a used secondhand example as you are likely to find.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = EX- (No rips, tears, heavy creases, defacing, etc. Generally in great shape, only marked down slightly for the very lightest of wear around the edge and a couple of tiny, faint creases - see photos for further clarification)

Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records.
