Janice Peters & The Playboys: "A Girl Likes"/"You're The One" (Columbia DB 4276, UK 1959, demo)
Of the two singles Janice Peters recorded for UK Columbia in 1958-1959, the first (her cover of Ruth Brown's "This Little Girl's Gone Rockin'") is hard to find, but the second one "A Girl Likes" is practically impossible. "A Girl Likes" is a fabulous uptempo female rocker (written by Ian Samwell of "Move It!" fame) that has been on several compilations. The less-known B side "You're The One" is not a ballad as you might have guessed from the title - it's another fast rocker with the classic British rock 'n' roll sound! Both sides were recorded with the Playboys, who also backed Vince Taylor on "Brand New Cadillac"!!!
Condition: Record has a few superficial hairline scratches, but no deep scratches or scuffs. The vinyl retains much of its original gloss. Both sides play with only a very small amount of noise. There is a faint red crayon marking on the A side (see scan).

Postage costs: US$6 worldwide, first class (air mail). Not US$4 to the United States, as eBay requires me to state! Carefully packed in new bubble bag with cardboard stiffeners inside. If you win more than one of the singles and EPs in my auctions, I will combine the postage - it's the same, $6, no matter how many records are sent to the same address.
