This is one of a number of vinyl records from the 1950’s & 60’s listed this week which we no longer listen to. Little played, the records are still in very good condition, the covers sometimes less so.

Gradings are based on the “Record Collector Magazine's Guide” set out in the eBay Guides together with notes about condition added. Extracts from the Gramophone Magazine review written at the time of the record’s release are included, with the permission of the publishers, where these are available.

RECORD GRADING

EXCELLENT +

This 1959 recording by the much sought after Cellist, Janos Starker, is in outstandingly good condition. It is very clean, both surfaces gleam and there are no marks on either surface and no spindle marks on either label.

Both sides play almost silently without any unwanted sounds and the sound quality is very good.

An excellent record both for the listener and for the collector

COVER GRADING

EXCELLENT

This fully laminated cover, too, is excellent. It is structurally sound, without damage and unmarked. There is just some very slight fraying of the opening edge and on one corner and a ‘record ring’ creasing is visible on the front.

The “Take good care of your records” inner is, likewise, almost prefect; unstained, unmarked and almost without creasing.

3. Over £50 by Royal Mail Special Delivery (Next Day before 1pm)

Services 2 & 3 provide proof of postage, confirmation of delivery and up to £50 of insurance.

International Buyers

• Items with an end-auction price of less than £50 will be sent by the most economical Airmail service available but Buyers should note these services only provide compensation up to a maximum of £20.

• If you feel the item differs significantly from the description given in this Listing you may return it and receive reimbursement of the end-auction price and the shipping costs you paid
