Description
Vinyl condition:
VG++ or better
I grade conservatively and have played this record in its entirety. Very nice playback with some light background noise overall, check below for sound. No skips of course. Surface has some light sleeve scuffs and a few marks viewable in the right light. Side 1 has a light needle mark viewable in the right light that is not detectable to the touch and does not reflect in playback. Side 2 has two small marks located within the last 5 minutes of play... while both of these reflect briefly in playback, neither create a skip. I have included the last portion of the record in the last clip below to illustrate playback in this area. Overall, in my opinion, the play is very nice and clear - though again - there is some light background noise and a few clicks from those marks on side 2. I'm being very picky about grading this record as I want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase.
This record has the RFR-1 in the trail-off on both sides. This is a rare promo, I have never seen one nor seen one in the archives of previously sold copies online. Nice original here, again a rare promotional teal label here. Mercury Living Presence + Starker = Excellence.
The first clip is from the beginning of side 1. Second clip is from the end of side 1 and the beginning of side 2. The last clip is from side 2 and includes the areas where the marks are located.
Label condition:
VG++ to NM-
The labels are exactly as the pictures show. Very nice.
Cover / Sleeve condition:
VG++
The cover looks great overall. Very light signs of handling. No splits. Nice seams overall. Promo stamp on the back cover. Foxing on the back cover as shown in the photos. Some small instances of a rub or contact wear but overall this is a very clean cover and will make the new owner proud.
The inner sleeve is the original Mercury and is in nice shape, as the pictures show.
I do my best to show the records with pictures from all angles so everyone gets an idea of exactly what condition the record is in. If you have any questions, please contact me through eBay's message system.
Thanks!
Mike
Transaction Details:
Packaging:
Packaging each record takes place after payment is received. The record is taken out of its cover and sleeve and wrapped separately to avoid splits or damage during shipping. Professional packing materials are used and all orders travel well-padded.
Shipping:
I can combine shipping of multiple orders purchased within the same week. Shipping prices for combined orders will vary by weight and all domestic orders come with delivery confirmation. Orders will ship within 1-5 business days.
International orders will be shipped via the United States Postal Service First Class International mail service. Each international order will have a postmarked receipt with a customs number that can be used to find where the package entered your country - this also serves as proof I shipped your package. Each order goes through this process.
The United States Postal Service raised their rates as of January 28th, 2013. Please understand the higher shipping rates are beyond my control. Also, I am unable to mark a package as a gift or alter the final price of an item to help the buyer avoid paying import fees. This is illegal here in the United States and I will not break the law, please do not ask me to do so.
Grading:
Each record is conservatively graded. I take time to provide a detailed description, regularly accompanied by detailed pictures and, at times, a sound clip of the record during playback.
SS = Still Sealed
Never opened. Any flaws (torn shrinkrwrap, creasing) will be indicated in the description.
NM- = Near Mint Minus
Has been opened, but is still flawless with no damage whatsoever.
VG+ = Very Good Plus
- Vinyl: May have scuff marks and signs of some wear but will still play almost perfectly throughout, with only "barely detectable" crackles or pops. A slight noise at the begining is allowable, but the remainder must be nearly flawless.
- Cover: May only have the slightest signs of normal wear.
VG = Very Good
The majority of records (worth selling) fall under this grade.
- Vinyl: May crackle, pop or make other annoying noises, but only occasionally,never continuously, and not more loudly than the music being listened to.
- Cover: Normal used cover wear such as ring wear and split seams. If there is abnormal damage such as tears or markings, but the seller still feels that it qualifies as a "VG", the damage must be described in comments attached to the item.
G+ = Good Plus
- Vinyl: May have continuous crackles, pops, etc... but not so loud as to make the music completely unenjoyable for the casual listener.
- Cover: More than normal wear and tear.
