JANOS STARKER Solo Cello Cassado Kodaly ’80 Star Records X03 NM RARE
Star Records catalog number X03, the great Janos Starker with solo performances of Cassado’s Suite for Cello Solo and Kodaly’s Sonata for Unaccompanied Cello Op. 8. The Kodaly was recorded in Japan, 1978, the Cassado likely recorded for this Shawnee Mission, KS label that I believe was founded by Starker himself. Interesting liners from Starker on his history of recording the Kodaly (this is his fourth recording of the piece). This LP was sealed, opened for a needle-drop recording, cleaned on a Klaudio ultrasonic machine. All is NM. Bid with confidence.
